Apparently, the times aren’t a-changing as much as we’d like: it’s Banned Books Week, and the ALA (among other sponsoring groups) has a handy list of a few of the books banned in 2012-13.
One of the worst parts of novel-writing (so I’m told) is summarizing what you’ve labored to say at length. Here’s writer Askold Melnyczuk on the task.
